In this 90-minute workshop, Jean Coco, the Interim Coordinator of the Communication Across the Curriculum Program, will discuss “best practices” and experiential learning activities that will help faculty advance their graduate students’ writing skills. Some of the topics Jean will address are: how to provide early and frequent feedback on drafts, how to get students to make substantive revisions, how to assist students with focusing and organizing information, and how to assist students with executing the rhetorical “moves” involved with integrating other voices into their  writing.  Come join the conversation, and please bring at least one student paper to the session. Coffee and pastries provided!
