Inclusion

Inclusion is not only a core value of our program, but as an interdisciplinary program, it defines who we are and what we do on a day-to-day basis.  Quite simply, this program adheres to the tenant that through inclusion comes advancement in all that we do from education, to research, and to practice.  Our students come from around the US and the world, have training in different disciplinary backgrounds, have different socio-economic backgrounds, vary in ethnicity and age, have different levels of previous graduate experience, and have entered the OS program fresh out of college as well as after years of professional experience.

As an interdisciplinary program, our faculty members mirror this same diversity on a wide-range of dimensions.  Our inclusiveness and diversity:

  • Promotes innovation and creativity in research and practice
  • Prepares students to value and work with the diverse groups of people in our society
  • Better prepares students to be future leaders in academia and industry
  • Provides a more well-rounded educational experience
  • Better prepares students to understand and satisfy/address the diverse needs of society in both research and application to the world of work

Besides our inclusiveness being reflected in all that we do as a program, there are a number of unique manifestations of special note.  Please use the following choices to explore the Organizational Science program's practice of inclusiveness and advancement.
