Conference Information

The Organizational Communication Mini Conference is a student-focused conference dedicated to supporting the career development of emerging organizational communication scholars. The two-day mini conference provides graduate students the opportunity to present their dissertations and other research in various stages.

The mini conference has a primary objective of building a community of scholars interested in organizational communication. This is facilitated by the tone of the conference being collegial, where students can share ideas, develop research, and interact with both peers and senior faculty in the field.

  • Registration is FREE!!! (includes most meals over the weekend)
  • It is all about supporting student work
  • All you need to submit for consideration is an abstract
  • Research presentations are all reserved for graduate students'
  • Dissertations or related work in organizational communication
  • A single track format means that everyone hears everything
  • Plenty of scheduled time for socializing
  • Per OCMC tradition, attending graduate students are invited to stay with graduate students at the host school as space permits
